Our story

Sangat Studio is a platform for community engagement where craft, art, and community meet. Rooted in the meaning of Sangat, community or fellowship, the studio brings people together through collaborative exchange and shared creativity.

Sangat Studio operates as a space for collaboration among artisans, artists, designers, and community members. It encourages the exchange of ideas, skills, knowledge, and cultural heritage, creating opportunities for meaningful connections and collective growth.

Through craft, Sangat Studio aims to provide artisans with a stronger platform to sustain and grow their livelihoods, while socially engaged art practices serve as a hub for creative collaboration and community participation. By bringing together diverse voices and practices, the studio fosters relationships that strengthen both craft traditions and community bonds.

In alignment with these values, 30% of Sangat Studio's profit margin is reinvested into socially engaged community projects, supporting initiatives that encourage cultural exchange, creativity, and mutual support.
